As one of the UK’s oldest charities, Haig Housing is committed to supporting veterans and their families with a place to call home. Right now, 1500 veterans and their families are living in houses with rents subsidised by Haig Housing to ensure the quality of life they deserve post-service.

Every donation we receive goes towards making someone’s life easier, no matter the amount and helps our mission of providing homes for veterans. If you are a UK taxpayer, please ‘Gift Aid’ your donation and Haig can reclaim 25% tax on the amount you’ve donated. You can download a Gift Aid form here.

You can make a difference

As the cost of living and housing crisis continues, every £1 you donate will truly make a positive difference to the life of our veterans and their families. Please give what you can this Christmas to help us stand for those who stood for us.

Here are some examples of how your donation can make an impact:

£25 can help fund a local community project, such as weekly coffee mornings bringing people together

£50 can pay for a family like the Robertsons to decorate their daughter’s room to help make their house a home

£137 can fund our 24/7 emergency repairs line for a day – an invaluable service which receives 7000 calls per year from veterans and their families

£250 can contribute to funding a community project such as a communal garden or memorial for the veteran community to enjoy

£500 can contribute to energy efficiency programmes in our homes to ensure veterans like Maggie and Arthur have affordable monthly bills
