Haig Housing is recruiting a Finance Director on a permanent full-time basis. We are the largest UK veterans housing charity, providing homes for over 1500 veterans and their families. Based in London we have a presence across the entire UK.  We put people at the centre of everything we do – our beneficiaries and staff. We are on an exciting journey to become even better. This Finance Director offers an exciting opportunity to help Haig grow our income and impact. Reporting into the CEO, you will manage a team of five whilst delivering on the three strategic objectives of: Beneficiary Focus, Quality Service and Sustainable Homes.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Work collaboratively to ensure financial performance delivers strategic outcomes
  • Lead and inspire people to perform, clearly demonstrating our values, behaviour and culture
  • Transform Haig’s approach to financial management, enabling sustainable growth
  • Lead business planning, supported by robust MI, KPIs & budgets
  • Develop the finance team to support effective delivery across the organisation
  • Present financial data in a clear, informative and accessible way to a wide variety of audiences
  • Ensure secure, robust & effective systems are in place for all financial transactions
  • Ensure effective audit, risk & insurance functions, underpinned by appropriate financial policies

This role involves hybrid working (remote and offices in South West / Central London)
